Astoria Bicycle Co.

ABCo. is a small independent manufacturer of steel frame road bikes. They obtained the original drawings and rights for a small number of classic frame designs once made by now defunct companies from the 50s and 60s. They selected their models based on a certain vintage style, perhaps not the most effective, but packed with personality and a lot of fun to take on the coastal roads of the state of Oregon, around the town of Astoria where their store is based.

Identity created around research on the notion of Americana, the nostalgia of small American towns between 1880 and the First World War and retro objects which embodies “the essence of the United States”. A visual approach which therefore takes up these codes (vintage illustrations & overprints) but refreshed in terms of colors and typography so that the identity is still current today.
